Refunds and cancellation
Last updated 3 September 2026
Billing is not switched on yet, so nobody has paid anything. This page sets out the rules that will apply when it is, and it forms part of the terms of service.
The short version: cancel whenever you like in one click, get a full refund within 14 days for any reason, and never lose access to your own plans because of a billing question.
1. Cancelling
Cancel from your account settings at any time, without asking anybody and without explaining why. There is no cancellation fee and no minimum term.
Cancelling stops the next payment. You keep the paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then the account returns to the free tier.
2. The 14-day refund
If you are within 14 days of your first payment on a subscription, ask and you get all of it back. No reason needed, and it applies whether or not you have used the service — we are not asking you to waive the statutory cancellation right and then relying on the waiver.
Write to [email protected] from the address on the account. Refunds go back to the card or account that paid, usually within 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank.
3. After 14 days
Monthly subscriptions are not refunded part-way through a month — cancel and the period you have paid for runs out.
Annual subscriptions are refunded pro rata for whole unused months if you ask within the first six months.
If something on our side genuinely stopped you using what you paid for — an outage, a feature that did not work as described — tell us. We will refund it. That is not a favour; it is what the money was for.
4. If we change or withdraw a paid feature
We will tell account holders by email before it happens. If the change materially reduces what you are paying for, you may cancel and receive a pro rata refund of the unused part of the period, whatever the rules above would otherwise say.
5. Your plans are not held hostage
Whatever happens with a payment — cancelled, refunded, expired, or a card that stopped working — you keep read and export access to every plan you have written. PDF, CSV and JSON, on the free tier, for as long as the account exists.
We do not delete plans for non-payment. If an account is going to be closed for any other reason, you will be told first and given time to export.
6. The free tier
Free means free: no card, no trial that quietly becomes a subscription, and no expiry. It exists because the engine is worth using on its own, and because you should be able to see whether this is any good before paying for it.
