Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and Tele UK Ltd (company number 10519543, registered in England and Wales at 45 Ben Jonson Road, London E1 4SA, United Kingdom) — "we", "us" — for your use of LiveBizPlan — this website and the application at /app. By using the service you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.

Nothing here reduces the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your own country. Where these terms and those rights disagree, those rights win.

1. What the service is

LiveBizPlan is software for writing a business plan: a set of structured questions, a deterministic financial model that computes projections from figures you supply, and optional assistance in drafting the prose. The output is a document you produce.

You may use it without an account, in which case everything stays in your browser. With an account, your plans are stored on our servers so that you can reach them from elsewhere.

2. It is not advice, and the numbers are yours

This is the most important section on the page.

LiveBizPlan is a tool. It is not financial, investment, accounting, tax or legal advice, and we are not your accountant, adviser or agent. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and nothing the software produces is a personal recommendation.

The financial statements it produces are projections calculated from assumptions you enter. The arithmetic is ours and we work hard at it. The assumptions — your prices, your volumes, your costs, your payment terms — are yours, and they decide the answer. A model with careful arithmetic and optimistic assumptions is an optimistic forecast, not a fact.

Before you rely on a plan for a loan application, an investment, a licence or any other decision that matters, have it checked by a qualified professional who knows your circumstances. You are responsible for what you submit and for anything you say in it.

3. The writing assistant

AI drafting is optional, off by default, and runs on an API key from your own account with an AI provider. Your use of that provider is governed by your agreement with them.

The assistant is designed so that it never produces a figure: it is given numbers the engine has already computed and told to copy them exactly. That design constrains it; it does not make it infallible. Generated text can still be wrong, generic, or state something about your market that nobody has verified.

Read anything it writes before you send it to anybody. You own the words in your plan and you are responsible for them, whoever or whatever typed them first.

4. Your account

• Give a real email address you control. We will ask you to confirm it before the account works.
• Choose a password you do not use anywhere else, and keep it to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Tell us at once if you think somebody else has got in: [email protected]. Changing your password ends every other session.
• One account per person. Do not share sign-in details; add people to a workspace instead.
• There is no password reset by email yet. If you lose your password, contact support and we will verify you another way.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use LiveBizPlan to:

• produce a document you know to be false in order to obtain money, credit, a grant or a licence — that is fraud, and it is the misuse this product is most exposed to;
• break any law, or infringe anybody else’s rights;
• reach an account, workspace or plan that is not yours, or test the security of the service without written permission (see the security page for how to report a hole properly);
• scrape, resell or redistribute the service, or use it to build a competing product;
• upload malware, or deliberately place a load on the service designed to degrade it for others.

We may suspend an account that is doing these things. Where we can, we will say why and give you a chance to put it right.

6. Your content stays yours

You own everything you write and enter, and everything the service produces from it. We claim no ownership of your business plan.

You grant us only the permission we need to run the service: storing your plan, backing it up, and displaying it back to you and to anybody you have added to your workspace. That permission ends when you delete the content or the account.

We do not use your plans to train models, and we do not read them for any purpose other than those set out in the privacy policy.

7. Our software stays ours

The software, its interface, the financial engine, the guidance text and the LiveBizPlan name remain ours. You may use the service; you may not copy, decompile or resell it. The document you produce is yours to use however you like, including commercially.

8. Availability, and changes

We aim to keep the service available and working, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and there is no service level agreement on any tier at present.

We may change, add or remove features. If we remove something you are paying for, or make a change that materially reduces what you get, we will tell account holders by email beforehand and you may cancel — see refunds and cancellation.

Keep your own copy of anything important. The export buttons exist for exactly this reason, and they are on every tier.

9. Payment

The free tier is free and has no card attached. Paid tiers, when they are switched on, are billed in advance for the period shown at the time you subscribe, and prices include or exclude tax as stated at checkout.

We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before increasing the price of a subscription you already hold. Cancellation and refunds are covered on the refunds page, which forms part of these terms.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that:

• We are not liable for business losses — lost profit, lost revenue, lost opportunity, a refused loan or a rejected application — arising from your use of the service or from decisions taken on the basis of a plan produced with it.
• We are not liable for loss of data you did not export, where you were able to export it.
• Where we are liable, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and [£50].

If you use the service for business purposes, the consumer protections referred to above do not apply to you.

11. Ending it

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. Export anything you want to keep first.

We may end or suspend an account that breaches these terms, or close the service entirely — in which case we will give account holders reasonable notice by email, and time to export their plans, before anything is switched off.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country and may bring proceedings there.

If a clause is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing something on one occasion does not mean we have given it up.
